Tech Term of the Month - April 2025: Deepfake

With the continued advancement of AI systems and content generators, artificially-created photos and videos are getting a little harder to tell from the real thing. Most content is used in a harmless way, but some can be used to spread misinformation or be used for scams.
For example, a deepfake is AI-generated media that manipulates videos, images, and/or audio to make people appear to say or do things that never actually happened.
How to spot a deepfake:
. Unnatural facial movements or blinking
. Mismatched lip-syncing
. Blurry or distorted edges of people and objects
. Robotic or inconsistent voice
