Have You Received This Email? This is a SCAM!

Have you received an email similar to the one above?

Several members recently received this email claiming to be from BCT. Make no mistake: this message is a SCAM!

BCT would never ask you to click on a link to enter your personal or payment information. We would also never urgently threaten to delete your account if you don't do what we say - that's a huge red flag exposing the message as a scam.

If you've received a message that looks suspicious, do not click any links. Instead, it's best to report it as Junk or Phishing in your email program, and then delete it.

Here's what you should look out for:

  • Emails from unfamiliar addresses
  • Urgent language or threats
  • Requests for passwords or payment info
  • Typos or strange formatting

Additional tips to protect yourself from scams:

  • Never share your personal or financial information over email or text.
  • Double-check the sender's email address — scammers often use addresses that look similar to legitimate ones.
  • Keep your devices and antivirus software up to date.
  • Report suspicious messages to our team so we can alert others.

When in doubt, you are always free to call our Member Services Team to verify the legitimacy of a message that claims to be from BCT at 503-632-3113.
