Robert George
Chairman |
Being named the chairman of a company’s Board of Directors can be a daunting
task. As a chairman, you must make decisions affecting hundreds
of people and thousands of dollars on a regular basis.
Robert George is a long time resident of Beavercreek. He was raised
in Oregon City and moved to the cooperative serving area in 1982.
Robert served as a commissioner for Clairmont Water District from
1987 to 1995. Following the merger of Clairmont Water into Clackamas
River Water, he served an additional two years as a board member. A civil engineer by trade, Robert brings his engineering talents to the cooperative.
Having worked for clientele in cities, commissions, and privately
owned utilities, Robert is experienced in plan preparation, project
management, and construction and cost estimates.

Jim Wilber
Secretary/Treasurer |
Jim Wilber has lived and worked in BCT’s serving area for
many years, and has a significant attachment to the cooperative
and the community.
“I was an employee of BCT for 30 years, having retired in
December 2002,” said Jim. “I have a tremendous amount
of knowledge in the industry, from a technical standpoint as well
as from being involved in telecommunication industry associations
over 30 years. I understand the dynamic changes that are occurring
in the industry.”
Jim has served on the Board of Directors for both Clarke’s
Fire District and Clarke’s School District. As a long-standing
member of the community, Jim looks forward to having a positive
impact on the industry while keeping member’s best interests
at heart.

James (Jim) Larson
Director |
Jim Larson has spent much of his life in Beavercreek: as a graduate
of Colton High School and with 36 years of experience in the construction
field, Jim has an extensive knowledge of the community. In the past,
Jim has primarily done construction for state, federal, and county
bridges, and has been the co-owner of a bridge construction company.
Currently, Jim works as a superintendent of a local bridge construction
company.
“I’ve watched many changes through the years [at BCT],
from overhead to underground wires, as well as the addition of cable
TV and Internet,” said Jim. “With my experience in the
construction field, I can help keep us progressing as we have in
the past 30 years. I think if we don’t keep advancing and
changing with the times, we could easily become outdated and left
behind.”

Jay Main
Director |
As co-owner of a contracting business in Beavercreek, Jay Main has learned
what builds a successful a business. He knows how to delegate, negotiate and work
well with a variety of people.
Jay also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Beavercreek Fire Department
for several years. Following his time as a volunteer, he was elected to the fire
department’s Board of Directors and served as the Secretary-Treasurer and
President.
As a member of BCT’s Nominating Committee, as well as Secretary/Treasurer
of the Board for many years, Jay has established a great working knowledge of BCT. “I have
the time and the dedication to devote myself to this position, and I always look
forward to serving the community.”
